This position works in an office environment.\nJob Duties\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies, while actively collaborating with and learning from senior developers.\nDevelop and code both front-end and back-end software applications using programming languages, leveraging expertise to create efficient, reliable, and user-friendly solutions while collaborating on tasks to optimize development.\nContribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design to testing and deployment, with increasing independence.\nWrite clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code, that adheres to best practices and follows internal DRG code guidelines.\nTroubleshoot and debug issues with guidance from senior developers.\nAssist in performance testing and evaluate an application's efficiency under various conditions.\nParticipate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, adherence to best practices, and alignment with project requirements while fostering a collaborative learning environment.\nFollow and respect established data protection and security measures.\nCollaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver innovative, high-quality products that meet both user needs and business goals.\nCollaborate with software development team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.\nContinuously research and update knowledge of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices to deliver cutting-edge solutions.\nProvide collaborative solutions for clients, ensuring a customer-centric approach and successful implementation of software products.\nParticipate in technical discussions to contribute insights, evaluate solutions, and collaborate on decisions that drive project success and innovation.\nContribute to the improvement of development processes.\nSupport both on-premises infrastructure and Saas solutions.\nRegular and timely attendance.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nFollow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.\n\nCompetencies:\nDemonstrates foundational knowledge and skills in front-end and back-end technologies.\nCollaborates and communicates cross-functionally creating a cooperative and productive work environment, seeking and incorporating feedback.\nApplies problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, ensuring consistent and high-quality performance.\nQualifications\nRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nRequired: Successfully complete on-the-job training for DRG UVM-specific technologies and systems.\nRequired: Solid understanding of Python, Java, Ruby, Node.js (preferred), or PHP.\nRequired: Familiarity with responsive design principles.\nRequired: Familiarity with RESTful APIs using Express or Nginx.\nRequired: Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL (preferred)) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).\nRequired: Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD).\nRequired: Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.\nRequired: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.\nRequired: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.\nRequired: Passion for creating great user experiences.\nRequired: Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.\nPreferred: One or more years of experience in software development, including internship experience.\nPreferred: Familiarity with containerization (Docker) or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).\nPreferred: Basic understanding of JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue.js).
