This role requires test execution for mission critical systems and the ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into accurate, properly formatted manual test scripts that cover system requirements comprehensively. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and a testing team to validate business requirements, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution before deployment. The QA Analyst will be a team member in the testing strategy and implementation of all forms of testing to include functional, integration, performance, regression and security. This position is based in Credence's corporate offices located in Tyson's Corner, VA.Responsibilities:Develop clear, concise, and logically structured manual test scripts that can be understood and executed by users regardless of their technical knowledge or familiarity with the systemClearly document prerequisites, test data, user roles, navigation steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteriaMaintain document control within SharePoint and Microsoft WordExecute manual test scripts, document results, capture evidence, and report bugs with clear reproduction stepsAct as a member of a project team responsible for testing requirements and providing technical guidance concerning the testing strategy, implementation in unit and performance/regression testing of the applicationMaintain traceability between requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and defectsContribute to the performance of functional, regression, integration, performance, and compliance testingFollow testing strategy and processes, work with tester team members, and contribute to process improvementLog, track, and retest bugs and defects in JiraCollaborate with developers to clarify issues, troubleshoot, and verify fixesDesign and execute IT software tests and evaluating results to ensure compliance with applicable regulationsDesign and prepare all required test dataReview test results and evaluate for conformance to designCollaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholdersContribute to user tester guides for various testing audiencesBe able to work independently and as part of a team, working closely with development teams, DevOps, UI/UX designers, and business analystsRequirementsMust be clearable for DoD Public Trust or higherBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical fieldMinimum of 5 years of software testing experienceExperience with Jira, test case design, test planning, defect management, API testing, and performance testingExperience with Scrum and SAFe agile frameworksRelevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authorityDoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level IAbility to work and produce results in an Agile and fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlinesExceptional writing skills and the ability to simplify complex system processes in writingNice to Have:Familiarity with basic ServiceNow navigation and general ServiceNow module conceptsExisting DoD Public TrustFamiliarity with DLA, DoD, or government project testing standardsExperience with automated testing frameworks for ServiceNowKnowledge of APIs, JSON, and flat file data exchangeUnderstanding of security and compliance testingSalary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
