The business line is assembling a proposal team to be based in Reston, VA. Upon successful award, the candidate will mobilize to the project site. Travel to project sites and trips to NDEU office may be required during the project setup phase.\nJob Summary:\nThe Advance Work Package Coordinator is responsible for coordination and management of work package planning and creation. Duties include working with CSU, Construction, Project Controls, Engineering and Supply Chain management to help sequence project deliverables. Monitors data quality across all project platforms to ensure accuracy in work packages.#LI-SP1\nMajor Responsibilities:\nPrepare and sequence discipline-specific Installation Work Packages (IWPs).\nRemove engineering and procurement constraints impacting IWP execution.\nDevelop EPC process maps and workflows to manage data, documents, and 3D models for IWP management.\nCoordinate with EPC automation teams to configure BSAPs and support IWP execution.\nAssemble IWPs via tools such as Book Builder, Teamworks, Setroute, and Smart Completions with minimal supervision.\nOversee IWP review, execution, closeout, and constraint analysis.\nManage IWP content changes (additions, removals, revisions).\nPlanning:\nCollaborate with field supervision and engineering to manage detailed IWP planning, enabling supervision to focus on field execution.\nIdentify planning gaps and drive collaboration across EPC project teams.\nSupport process implementation and updates.\nMonitor project schedules, ensuring timely IWP delivery in coordination with Project Controls and other stakeholders.\nSafety & Quality:\nVerify installations meet drawings, specifications, and vendor requirements.\nEnforce field safety and quality policies and ensure Zero Accident Philosophy compliance.\nEnsure tools, equipment, and operational areas are safe and properly maintained.\nTechnical:\nSupport field engineers, supervisors, and craft professionals in interpreting engineering and vendor documents.\nCoordinate engineering solutions and constructability issues with subcontractors and design teams.\nPrepare and inspect testing processes, equipment, and installed components for technical acceptance.\nContribute to developing commodity installation methods and leverage automation tools for efficiency.\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nRequires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience\nSpecialist in Advanced Work Packaging concepts and terminology\nRequired Knowledge and Skills:\nPossesses knowledge of and prior experience working with variety of software tools and database applications – Primavera, Synchro 4D, Navisworks, ModelBuilder, Book Builder, TEAMWorks, Setroute, and Xfighter.\nExperience on combined cycle facilities is preferred.\nComputer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.\nExcellent communication and problem-solving ability.\nDemonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.\nAble to work extended work schedules and night shift as required to support the project execution plans and schedules.\nDemonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).\nDemonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.\nMust have work authorization within the United States of America.\nTotal Rewards/Benefits:\nFor decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
