As part of that growth, we want to expand our certification program. We currently offer credentialed badges for completion of courses and one performance-based ClickHouse Certified Developer exam for those who are subject matter experts. We are looking for someone to take ownership of our certification program, expand our certification exam offerings, and build a community around our ClickHouse certified professionals.\nResponsibilities:\nDeveloping performance-based, hands-on ClickHouse certification exams on ClickHouse use cases like real-time analytics, observability and data warehousing\nWorking with company SME's to create job task analyses for exams\nGrading and maintaining all certification exams, including writing grading scripts\nDeveloping quizzes for our course-completion badges\nWriting and deploying quizzes for ClickHouse credentials\nEstablishing a community presence for ClickHouse certified professionals using popular social media outlets and also while attending ClickHouse user conferences and Meetups\nTracking and reporting on the metrics and KPIs of the certification program\nWorking with the certification and badging vendors to ensure proper delivery of the exams and badges\nHandling customer support from learners interested in obtaining our certifications\nTraveling occasionally to Meetups and conferences to promote ClickHouse to the community\nRequirements:\nA self-motivated attitude that provides you with the desire and determination to complete projects in a fast-paced startup environment\nProven experience developing certification exams and quizzes for a highly technical audience like software engineers and database developers\nExperience with SQL\nTechnical breadth and depth in relevant subjects such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, and big data\nYou have a high level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability\nAbility to learn new technologies quickly and effectively\nExcellent communication skills\nBonus points:\n5+ years of experience in certification in the technical software industry\nExperience with curriculum development or instruction for databases and/or distributed systems\nExperience with ClickHouse database\nExperience with one or more Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure\nExperience building software certification exams\nAbility to work cross-functionally amongst engineering, support, product and development teams\nTechnical degree (e.g. Computer Science or related field)\nYou'll love this role if:\nYou thrive in a customer-facing role, collaborating closely with Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams\nYou are self-driven, curious, and eager to continuously learn and grow\nYou possess a mindset of teamwork, global engagement, empathy, and a drive for solving challenging problems\nYou have a sense of adventure and urgency in building the most scalable, highest performing, largest, and fastest databases in the world\nCompensation\nFor roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above.
