Registered Nurse - PICU

Registered Nurse - PICUWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience, with additional preference given to those cross-trained in Adult ICU and Med/Tele units. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients with conditions such as MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and Cardiac issues, among others. Experience with titrating medications like pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents is required. The position involves working 4 days one week and 3 days the next, with every other weekend rotation. You will also be expected to work 2/3 holidays, with a focus on providing excellent patient care in a traveler-friendly, family-oriented environment. Candidates must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications, with NRP preferred. A pass on an EKG competency exam prior to arrival is required. The role includes support with phlebotomy, wound care, drains, and titration of medications. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:2 and employs Meditech Expanse for charting, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
