We are seeking a Program Engineering Manager to be responsible for the hands‑on leadership and coordination of a multi‑disciplinary engineering team and supervises the overall execution of engineering activities for automation and control system projects for the Great Lakes business unit. This role oversees day‑to‑day engineering operations, ensuring technical accuracy, resource allocation, adherence to operational SOPs, project delivery excellence and department development to meet the strategic initiatives of the business unit. We can’t wait to see how your expertise will contribute to our team’s success!\n\nYou will:\nLEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT:\n\nLead and develop Group Engineering Managers, Principal Engineers and engineers across electrical and mechanical disciplines to promote growth within your team.\n\nManage change and communication within the organization.\n\nActively promote and enforce adherence to Safety, Health, and Environment rules and procedures.\n\nSupport the development and implementation of standard work processes, design templates, and engineering best practices to drive quality and efficiency.\n\nProvide guidance to align engineering resources and project needs.\n\nManage staff utilization; forecast and identify gaps and risks.\n\nCoordinate with other business units to maintain utilization and fill skill gaps.\n\nFoster a spirit of commitment to clients, innovation and excellence in execution.\n\nPROJECT EXECUTION:\n\nOversee project engineering execution from concept through commissioning, ensuring deliverables meet client requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.\n\nCollaborate closely with project managers and GEMs to align engineering schedules, skillsets and budgets with project goals.\n\nSupport commissioning and field service activities, including troubleshooting, startup assistance, and client training as needed.\n\nEnsure engineering change management, documentation control, and version tracking are consistently applied.\n\nParticipate in internal and external project meetings as required.\n\nMaintain consistent project execution as defined by the E Tech Playbook quality system.\n\nConduct and coordinate technical reviews of designs, schematics, and project deliverables for accuracy and compliance.\n\nMENTORING AND STAFFING:\n\nSupport HR with recruitment activities.\n\nFoster a culture of engaged employees at all levels in the business.\n\nPromote teamwork and mentorship within the organization.\n\nConduct annual employee performance reviews of direct reports.\n\nMaintain a regular meeting cadence with staff and staff leaders to communicate business changes, initiatives, success stories and performance metrics.\n\nSTRATEGIC PLANNING:\n\nAssist the sales and applications teams with the development of cost estimates and proposals as required.\n\nWork with the BU directors to ensure proper department staffing and talent levels to meet AOP goals.\n\nContinuously research the advancements in the hardware and software capabilities of E Tech partners and service providers.\n\nBe an ambassador who embodies our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.\n\nYou have:\n\nBS Engineering degree.\n\n15+ years experience in industry; 5+ years in a management role.\n\nProven performance in a stressful environment.\n\nAbility to travel as necessary to perform onsite project work.\n\nAbility to work perform duties in industrial facilities with harsh environments as required.\n\nAbility to work weekends and/or holidays to fulfill customer commitments.\n\nA DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.\n\nBenefits & Perks:\n\n401k + match + prompt enrollment.
