You’ll own critical pieces of the month-end close, lead Accounts Payable, strengthen internal controls, and help build the operational foundation of a rapidly growing, private‑equity‑backed healthcare staffing organization.This role is perfect for someone who loves getting into the details, thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and is ready to step into a bigger leadership opportunity with real impact.****This role can be based out of our Denver, CO office or Boca Raton, FL office and requires in-office work on Tue/Wed/Thur each week. Additionally, candidates will be required to work either Central or Eastern Time Zone hours.****What You Will DoMonth-End Close & Core Accounting ExecutionOwn and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closePrepare, review, and approve complex reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedulesEnsure financial reporting accuracy in accordance with U.S. GAAPInvestigate and resolve discrepancies, unusual variances, and operational accounting issuesStrengthen documentation, close checklists, and internal controlsDrive continuous improvement to shorten close timelines and improve accuracyAccounts Payable LeadershipLead and mentor the AP team and oversee day-to-day AP operationsEnsure timely invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor maintenancePartner with offshore/shared services teams to maintain accuracy and throughputImprove workflows, communication, and issue resolution across APEnforce internal controls, policy adherence, and service-level expectationsProcess Improvement & Systems OptimizationIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual workPartner with Finance Systems and IT to optimize Sage Intacct and related toolsSupport automation, standardization, and scalable workflow designDocument processes and strengthen operational controls as the company growsTeam Leadership & CollaborationLead, coach, and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvementCoordinate deliverables across onshore and offshore teamsEstablish clear KPIs, expectations, and quality standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Operations, Payroll, and other teams to improve data flow and operational accuracyAudit & ComplianceSupport internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentationMaintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policiesAssist in developing SOX-ready processes as the organization scalesWhat You Need To BringCPA requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance6-10 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAPExperience leading components of the month-end close and accounting operationsExperience managing or overseeing Accounts PayableAdvanced proficiency with ERP systems (Sage Intacct strongly preferred)Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical capabilityHands-on leadership style with a focus on execution, accountability, and process improvementPreferred ExperienceCombination of public accounting and industry experienceExperience in private equity-backed or high-growth environmentsBackground in healthcare staffing, professional services, or similar industriesExperience improving or implementing accounting processes, controls, and automationExperience working with offshore/shared services teamsWhat You Can ExpectThis is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will directly influence the strength and scalability of our accounting operations.
