Store Manager – The Herb Center (Cannabis Dispensary)
Position SummaryThe Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and success of The Herb Center retail dispensary in Bend, Oregon. This individual will lead a team of cannabis professionals, ensure compliance with OLCC regulations, drive sales, manage inventory and cash, and cultivate a welcoming, safe, and educational environment for customers and staff alike.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentHire, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing dispensary team including Assistant Managers, Leads, and BudtendersFoster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven workplace cultureProvide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluationsEnsure all team members are compliant with OLCC and company policiesCustomer ExperienceMaintain exceptional customer service standards and create a welcoming, informative environmentResolve escalated customer concerns professionally and in compliance with policiesOversee implementation of customer loyalty programs and promote team engagement in education and upsellingOperations ManagementManage daily store operations including scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and shift oversightMaintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the storeEnsure all operations are fully compliant with Oregon cannabis laws and OLCC regulationsPrepare and manage staff schedules for optimal coverage and labor efficiencySales & Financial OversightMeet or exceed sales goals, KPIs, and profitability targetsAnalyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales to identify trends and opportunitiesOversee accurate cash handling procedures, including register and safe reconciliationsInventory & ComplianceSupervise inventory intake, audits, and reconciliation in METRC and POS systemsCollaborate with purchasing to ensure proper stock levels, product diversity, and vendor managementMaintain 100% compliance with METRC and state cannabis tracking requirementsPerform regular compliance reviews and update SOPs as neededCommunity & Brand EngagementRepresent The Herb Center brand with professionalism and integrityEngage with customers and the community to promote awareness and trustQualificationsMinimum 2–3 years of retail management experience, cannabis preferredOLCC Marijuana Worker Permit requiredStrong knowledge of Oregon cannabis compliance and METRCProven leadership, communication, and organizational skillsMust be 21+ with the ability to pass background checks as required by state lawCompensationCompetitive salary based on experienceBonus opportunities based on performanceEmployee discount, health benefits, and PTO offered
