Mainframe System Programer

Local candidates highly preferredDescription :Responsibilities:Position Overview:Responsible for supporting a mainframe critical to customer service and work management, with involvement in a transformation project to migrate away from the current platform.Key Responsibilities:Perform day-to-day mainframe operations, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.Capture screens and documentation for audits; validate technical direction from vendorsInteract with auditors and support audit requirements.Apply software upgrades and manage mainframe licenses.Question and validate vendor recommendations analytically, without confrontation. Technical Requirements:Strong experience with ZOS.Familiarity with Cool: Gen, Endeavor (CA Endevor SCM) and RACF.Advanced troubleshooting skills.Prior mainframe experience required; utility industry experience is optional.No specific programming language required if candidate is a senior mainframe systemsDell DLM (Disk Library for Mainframe) experience needed Other Details:Hands-on technical role, not a people manager.
