Per Diem Medical AssistantWentworth Health Partners is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant with flexible availability to pick up shifts to cover call out, vacancies, and vacations across our Primary Care and Specialty Practices. These locations include South Berwick, ME; Dover, NH; Somersworth, NH; Portsmouth, NH; Lee, NH; Durham, NH; and Rochester, NH. These practices are open Monday-Friday 6:15am-6:00pm, so schedules are staggered accordingly based on the employee's availability.Job SummaryThis role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.Essential FunctionsInterview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
