Since then, the company has become one of the largest privately owned machine tool importers in North America.\n\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair, and maintain CNC milling and turning machines at customer facilities. This role involves both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, requiring a solid understanding of mechanical systems, CNC controls, and electro‑mechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, customer‑focused, and has a proven ability to work independently while delivering exceptional service.\n\nMechanical Responsibilities\n\nDiagnose and repair CNC milling and turning machines at customer locations.\n\nTroubleshoot and repair automatic tool changers, pallet systems, spindles, and turret mechanisms.\n\nPerform ball screw and axis support bearing replacements and alignments.\n\nRepair and align hydraulic and pneumatic systems.\n\nRead and interpret mechanical drawings and part prints to execute precise repairs.\n\nElectrical Responsibilities\n\nTroubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, including CNC controls and electro‑mechanical assemblies.\n\nRead and follow ladder and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues.\n\nUtilize tools such as digital multimeters, ohmmeters, and phase checkers for troubleshooting.\n\nRepair CNC controls, including Fanuc systems, and perform programming as needed.\n\nCustomer Interaction and Support\n\nCommunicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repair progress, and preventive maintenance measures.\n\nProvide professional and courteous customer service to ensure client satisfaction.\n\nMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor when representing the company.\n\nRequired Skill/Abilities\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nAbility to stay calm and professional during stressful situations.\n\nSelf‑motivated with the ability to work independently.\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude, with experience in CNC repair.\n\nProficient in reading mechanical drawings, part prints, ladder diagrams, and wiring schematics.\n\nExperience using diagnostic tools, including multimeters and phase checkers.\n\nMinimum Education and Experience\n\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in CNC field service.\n\nHands‑on knowledge of Fanuc controls (CNC programming experience is a plus).\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\n\nNone\n\nTravel Requirements\n\nDaily travel to customer facilities\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\n\nPerform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and crawling.\n\nClimb step ladders up to 8 feet.\n\nDrive daily to customer locations, with dependable transportation and a clean driving record required.\n\nSalary\n$29.48 - $44.59 per hour\n\nThe listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
