Community and Economic Development Intern - Maplewood
The City of Maplewood desires to sponsor a Community and Economic Development internship for students pursuing education in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Public Health services to ensure food safety, Building/Construction Management, or related fields. This experience integrates the student as a contributing member of the Community and Economic Development Department and provides practical, real-world exposure to municipal planning, inspections, code administration, rental licensing, and environmental health operations.The internship encourages and promotes interest in Community and Economic Development career pathways, offering learning opportunities and professional experience across multiple regulatory and administrative functions. The intern performs various responsibilities designed to support training, learning, and experiential development.Receives direct supervision from the Assistant Community and Economic Development Director, with project-specific direction from Building, Planning, Code Enforcement, Rental Licensing, and Environmental Health staff.This is a part time position up to 25 hours per week.Learn more and apply: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/maplewoodmn
