You will manage a small team of engineers in a hands-on capacity and collaborate with the Director of Mobile Software to prioritize and delegate tasks for your team.\r\nYou will also be part of a broader team including web development, firmware, wireless networking protocols, hardware, QA, and more. You’ll work with UI/UX and product management to ensure high-quality production and deployment of fully integrated applications for goTenna’s next-generation communication systems.\r\nPrimary ResponsibilitiesLead the Flutter Software Team and deliver results by coaching, developing, and managing employees.\r\nMentor the Flutter development team and guide the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications.\r\nReview new product requirements, design and implement the data model, control, and customer-facing aspects for features.\r\nEnsure the highest quality and performance of mobile software by leading the team in writing world-class code.\r\nCollaborate with firmware, hardware, QA, and product management to define, implement, and ship new features.\r\nDesign and develop SDKs for internal and third-party developers.\r\nProvide engineering support for customer issues and general problem-solving.\r\nSupport product managers in answering technical customer questions.\r\nRelease mobile apps and monitor performance in the Play Store and App Store using relevant tools.\r\nRequired Experience8+ years mobile software engineering experience.\r\n2+ years experience managing mobile software engineers.\r\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science.\r\nExperience with MVVM and similar Mobile Architecture.\r\nExperience with Flutter development.\r\nExperience developing multithreading apps, performance tuning, and debugging.\r\nExperience working closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive interfaces.\r\nExperience with developer tools like Firebase, Maven, Gradle, Git and Android Studio.\r\nExperience mentoring and supporting peers and fostering best engineering practices.\r\nFamiliarity with Jira and Agile/Lean development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).\r\nProven track record of taking initiative to proactively resolve technical issues.\r\nKnowledge of design patterns.\r\nExperience with Riverpod.\r\nExperience with UML diagrams.\r\nExperience with Dart Futures.\r\nPreferred ExperienceAdditional development experience with other platforms and languages such as iOS development in Swift.\r\nExperience writing Bluetooth apps and familiarity with Bluetooth SDKs.\r\nExperience using mapping frameworks (e.g., MapBox, Google Maps, Esri), RESTful APIs, and connection to backend servers.\r\nExperience with security protocols, Android Encryption, CryptoKit, or similar.\r\nExperience with hardware integration and/or connected devices.\r\nExperience working on government-focused projects.\r\nExperience with C/C++.\r\nExperience with Kotlin.\r\nPlacement at the appropriate job level (entry, senior, etc) will be determined by a combination of years of experience, demonstration of proficiency in this field, and other qualifications.\r\ngoTenna is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
