Job PostingOverviewThe key goal of the Food Service Associate at Murphy USA is to deliver excellence in food service, food quality, and food safety. The position holds a key role of providing excellent customer service to all Murphy USA customers and an attitude as FRESH as our food service offerings. Food Service Associates are expected to learn and practice proper food safety procedures and follow all Murphy USA recipes. Food Service Associates perform a variety of tasks and duties timely while working in a fast-paced environment. It is important to have an eye for cleanliness and to be able to make our customers feel welcome. The Food Service Associate has a critical role in the store and works to achieve store objectives, follow all safety and operating procedures, and adhere to proper guidelines and standards.ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service and tend to customers in a prompt, efficient, friendly mannerAdhere to and assist with Food Service daily production.Follow all food safety and dating procedures.Follow proper guidelines for food preparation, timekeeping, sanitation, and all other procedures.Train new Team Members as needed.Assist in monitoring inventory levels of products and supplies.Sweep, mop, empty trash and clean as necessary, including restrooms.Attend all mandatory/scheduled store meetings.Keep up to date on new policies and procedures.Maintain appearance and uniform standards.Adhere to loss prevention guidelines.Be proficient in cash handling, lottery procedures and cash control policies.Communicate any questions, concerns, or issues to leadership in a timely manner.Complete all assigned tasks and achieve shift objectives.Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSA great attitude that contributes positively to the work environment.Ability to deliver the highest level of customer service.Friendly demeanor with a willingness to smile—a lot.Minimum 18 years of age.Must be a team player and be able to communicate effectively with customers and Team Members.Reliable transportation and ability to get to work on time.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated.Strong attention to detail.Completion of required on-the-job training programs and learning activities within allocated timeframe.Previous Cashier and/or Food & Beverage Experience preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMurphy Oil USA, Inc is an equal opportunity employer.
