Within DHE, you will use the latest technologies, tools, and methods, alongside an awesome team of passionate engineers who are central to Eaton’s digital transformation, and every contribution we make has a significant impact on the future of the company.\n\nIn this role you will:\nLead the design and implementation of features of an embedded RTOS IoT platform.\nCollaborate with product teams, stakeholders, and engineers across the world to create high-quality products.\nInvestigate new technologies and contribute to technology road-mapping activities.\nEvaluate business requirements and use-cases to identify potential solutions.\nAuthor high-quality, high-performance code principally written in C/C++.\nWork with the team to drive improvements in software craftsmanship at all levels.\nDocument software components and interactions using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and code snippets.\nDemonstrate a fluency of and bias toward open-source software and have a firm understanding of best practices around integrating open-source software into commercial products.\nWork as part of a global, multi-disciplinary Agile Release Train.\nOperate in an iterative development process, contributing to team backlog refinement, and collaborating to provide work estimates, sprint plans, and PI plans to meet the needs of Eaton’s various product development teams.\nLeverage best-in-class software development tools to enable scalable system development.\nMentor junior team members on new technologies, and good coding practices.\nMaintain skills through the studying of software development techniques and programming trends.\nQualifications:\nBasic REQUIRED Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of 7 years of experience working in embedded systems software development with a solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.\n5+ years of experience developing code for RTOS-based embedded systems.\nMinimum of 2 years of demonstrated knowledge of a source code version control system and using the system effectively in the context of medium or large software development teams. (ie GIT, Subversion, etc)\nHands-on experience with Python.\nRelocation assistance will be provided. Must be willing to relocate to either Raleigh, NC, Pittsburgh PA (Moon Twp) or Greater Milwaukee WI area (Menomonee Falls WI)\nAbility to travel up to 25%.
