Specialist, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
Overview
The EHS Specialist is responsible for promoting and assisting Mobis Savannah's (MSV) EHS program. They will assist in training the site’s Team Members on applicable EHS-related programs and updates. They will help ensure the site complies with current EHS Standards and regulations, participate in site audits and incident investigations, and participate in corrective action reviews until closure.
Responsibilities

Evaluate EHS programs, procedures, and operations for compliance with applicable laws and OSHA regulations
Promote implementation of health and wellness programs for all MSV Team Members
Assess workplace environments, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and complete new equipment checklists
Ensure full compliance with EHS standards and government regulations
Conduct hazard and operational control process assessments
Recommend measures to help protect Team Members from potentially hazardous working conditions, methods, processes, or materials
Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and determine corrective action
Complete reports and analyze incidents to identify trends
Conduct Safety Management Systems (SMS) audits, Environmental Management Systems (EMS) audits, and/or monthly EHS inspections and assist in corrective actions
May assist in training Team Members on proper use of powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, tuggers, overhead cranes, and related industrial equipment
Conduct EHS orientation for all new Team Members
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all EHS guidelines
Ability to learn and use the EHS Systems, including One Mobis, E-Accounting, SHE Platform, and Worker Compensation Platforms, to enter and process data accurately and efficiently.
Enter and maintain EHS data for Master Document Control
Coordinate / Conduct Safety Committee Meetings
Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications
(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 or more years of experience in an EHS-related position in a manufacturing environment
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field plus 1 or more years of experience in an EHS-related position in a manufacturing environment
Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
Registered Environmental Manager (REM)
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification
CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
None but must be able to obtain if needed as potential duties expand.
Working Conditions:
30% office, 70% production floor
2nd shift hours: 4:30 pm to 1:00 am, training on 1st shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Overtime and weekends as needed
If an emergency occurs, TM may need to stay until the issue is resolved.
