In this role, you will use precision measurement tools and mechanical fixtures to set parts to blueprint-defined tolerances while ensuring compliance with strict quality and workmanship standards.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can interpret engineering drawings, and takes pride in producing accurate, repeatable results. You will work in a controlled manufacturing environment where precision, documentation, and attention to detail are critical to mission success.At Frontgrade, your work directly supports technologies designed to perform in the most demanding environments, from space exploration and defense systems to advanced commercial and civil applicationsResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Use height gauges, calipers, hammers, and precision fixtures to adjust aluminum and copper parts to blueprint-defined tolerances.Interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications to determine dimensional requirements.Perform controlled mechanical adjustments to achieve precise fit, alignment, and form.Inspect parts to verify compliance with dimensional, visual, and quality standards.Handle and secure parts using approved tools and methods to prevent damage.Maintain an organized workstation and ensure tools and gauges are properly maintained.Accurately document measurements, adjustments, and inspection results per quality procedures.Follow all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.Communicate with quality, engineering, and production teams to support workflow and resolve issues.What We’re Looking For:Experience using precision measurement tools such as height gauges, calipers, and mechanical fixtures.Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements.Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience manipulating metal parts to tight tolerances.Experience working with aluminum and copper materials preferred.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and repeatability.Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to specifications.Comfortable documenting measurements and work performed per quality procedures.Understanding of shop safety practices and proper tool handling.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEHigh School (High school diploma) or GEDExperience in manufacturing(1+ years preferred).Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.Ability to follow precise work instructions, procedures, and documentation practices.Comfortable wearing PPE and working in a FOD-controlled environment.Preferred:Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.Experience handling delicate or sensitive components.Additional InformationThis position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.Pay Range: 20.00 - 24.00 hourly.
