The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment where wearing multiple hats and taking initiative are essential to success.\r\nEssential Duties:\r\n\r\n\r\nPartner with Research & Development, Supply Chain, Operations, and other departments to establish and refine processes that ensure ongoing compliance with current and evolving food safety regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\nLead the enhancement and optimization of quality management systems, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing sustainable solutions.\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelop and facilitate comprehensive training programs for production associates and cross-functional team members on quality protocols, food safety requirements, and GMP standards.\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluate and verify quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment including production records, specifications, and testing reports.\r\n\r\n\r\nCoordinate and participate in internal compliance assessments and serve in a leadership capacity during third-party certification audits and regulatory inspections.\r\n\r\n\r\nDirect root cause investigations for quality deviations, non-conformances, and process failures using structured problem-solving methodologies.\r\n\r\n\r\nManage the corrective and preventive action system, ensuring timely implementation, verification, and effectiveness validation of all CAPA initiatives.\r\n\r\n\r\nOversee data collection, trend analysis, and statistical evaluation to support quality decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.\r\n\r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be Bilingual in Spanish & English.\r\n\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science) or related field; candidates with strong technical backgrounds in other scientific areas will be considered.\r\n\r\n\r\nMinimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a quality assurance or food safety role.\r\n\r\n\r\nDemonstrated experience developing and implementing HACCP plans from concept through validation.\r\n\r\n\r\nProven capability managing audit processes, corrective actions, preventive measures, data analysis, and validation activities.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrevious experience in food manufacturing or ingredient production environments required.\r\n\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\n\r\n\r\nSQF Practitioner certification or equivalent GFSI credential.\r\n\r\n\r\nPCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) or HACCP certification.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with specialty food ingredients, color additives, or confectionery manufacturing.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
