This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production needs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nInventory Accuracy & Control\nPerform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and enter inventory count results.\nAudit inventory locations to ensure physical inventory matches records in the inventory management system.\nConduct off-cycle counts and support discrepancy investigations and inventory corrections.\nPartner with Accounting to address inventory-related audit questions.\nMaterial Flow & Organization\nAssign inventory locations for new materials and relocate existing items as needed.\nUpdate inventory locations within the inventory management system.\nMaintain clear separation between shippable and non-shippable inventory.\nMaintain organized inventory areas while following 5S standards.\nSupport FIFO (First-In, First-Out) material usage across manufacturing and service operations.\nReplenish materials for Production and Technical Service teams to support uninterrupted workflow.\nCross-Functional Support & Continuous Improvement\nCollaborate with Production, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and other teams to optimize inventory storage and material flow.\nEvaluate and adjust inventory locations based on usage, demand, and available space.\nIdentify slow-moving or obsolete materials and support disposition recommendations.\nServe as a point of contact for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) suppliers.\nEscalate urgent material needs and purchasing concerns to the appropriate teams.\nQualificationsExperience & Skills\n2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, or a related field.\nManufacturing environment experience preferred.\nExperience with inventory management systems; ERP/MRP experience strongly preferred.\nStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.\nFamiliarity with Lean principles, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.\nWHY AVERRO?\nAverro is a veteran-owned staffing and solutions firm connecting top talent with cutting-edge companies.
