The Opportunity We're seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Marketing to own 3-GIS's global marketing strategy and lead a small, capable team. The foundation is in place, and now we need a leader to scale demand generation, sharpen product marketing and sales enablement, and elevate our brand in key markets worldwide. This is a player-coach role with direct involvement in corporate strategy and capable of making real organizational impact. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Develop and own a comprehensive global marketing strategy and roadmap aligned to revenue goals across North America and EuropeDefine market segmentation, buyer personas, and messaging frameworks for telecom and utility verticalsLead, mentor, and grow a team of 2–4 marketers; manage agency and contractor relationshipsEstablish KPIs and drive a data-driven marketing cultureDemand Generation Build and scale a demand generation engine delivering consistent, qualified pipelineOversee digital marketing, content, SEO/SEM, email, webinars, and ABM programsPartner closely with sales on pipeline targets, lead qualification, and handoff processesProduct Marketing & Sales Enablement Own product positioning and differentiation across the 3-GIS suiteDevelop and maintain sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, solution briefs, battle cards, case studies, and ROI tools, tailored to a long, complex enterprise sales cycleTranslate highly technical capabilities into compelling value narratives for VP- and C-level buyersBrand & Market Presence Elevate brand visibility and consistency across all channels and geographiesOversee presence at key industry events across of multiple domains and geographies.Build thought leadership through executive content, analyst relations, and PRWhat You'll Bring Experience 10+ years of B2B marketing experience; 7+ years in a senior marketing leadership roleProven success marketing complex, technical enterprise software with long (12+ month) sales cycles and high deal valuesTrack record of building demand generation programs that measurably grow qualified pipelineStrong product marketing background, including messaging, sales enablement, and competitive positioningExperience executing marketing strategies across North America and EuropeBackground in telecom, electric/gas utilities, or GIS/geospatial software strongly preferredTechnical Skills & Certifications Marketing automation platforms, including Marketo, Pardot, HubSpot, or equivalent (certification a plus)SEO/SEM tools, including SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, or equivalentWeb analytics, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4 certification preferred)CRM proficiency, including Salesforce or equivalentFamiliarity with ABM platforms are a plusWorking knowledge of Esri/GIS technology or willingness to develop it quicklyCore Competencies Ability to translate complex, technical products into clear business value for executive buyersStrong analytical mindset, measuring what matters and using data to drive decisionsExcellent communicator and presenter across internal and external audiencesEntrepreneurial and adaptable, comfortable building in a growth-stage environmentCollaborative leadership style with strong cross-functional instinctsYear-One Success Metrics Global marketing strategy and 12–24 month roadmap delivered and aligned with sales leadershipMeasurable growth in marketing-sourced qualified leads and pipeline contributionRefreshed sales enablement toolkit actively used by the sales teamImproved brand awareness among target buyers in the US and European marketsWhy 3-GIS People first, always. 3-GIS is built on the belief that exceptional people create exceptional outcomes, for our team, our customers, and the communities they serve.
