Under the direction of the Operations Manager, perform daily activities to help maintain location efficiency and profitability of the organization.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nProvide quality service to all customers of the business.\r\nObtain a thorough knowledge of all equipment used at this location and others.\r\nPerform basic repairs and maintain a preventative maintenance program on the companies' equipment.\r\nWork with Operations Manager to schedule grain shipments and coordinate repair work.\r\nMaintain grain quality by conditioning the grain as needed. (dry, clean, aerate, etc)\r\nSegregate and/or blend grain as needed to meet quality and grade specifications.\r\nPerform grain handling duties including bin cleaning, scooping and sweeping, bin measurements, transferring grain, fan and temperature monitoring.\r\nManage all inbound and outbound grain shipments by truck and rail.\r\nPerform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and equipment condition.\r\nMaintain the general appearance of the facilities including the elevator, buildings, vehicles, grounds and other company property.\r\nWork in a safe manner and obey all safety procedures.\r\nHelp weigh and sample grain samples when needed.\r\nTravel to other Ludlow Coop locations to help with jobs as needed.\r\nHelp hire, train and supervise elevator operations staff along with seasonal help.\r\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\r\nRequirements\r\nMust have and maintain a valid driver's license.\r\nBe able to climb ladders on a daily basis and be able to work at heights exceeding 20 feet.\r\nExperience working with the public demonstrating excellent customer service.\r\nMust have problem solving skills and the ability to work independently during busy periods.\r\nMust have an excellent attendance record and be at work promptly each day.\r\nMust be willing to work hours beyond the normal work week including some weekends.\r\nBenefits\r\nIn addition to competitive pay, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees.
