This position requires a higher level of responsibility and accountability compared to Engineer I and is suitable for those with a few years of hands-on experience in the engineering field.\nYou will be expected to take on a more independent and proactive role in the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical and process systems, with a primary focus on advanced technology facilities such as semiconductor and related cleanroom manufacturing environments.\nImportant to note, while this is a remote / WFH position, candidates must reside in the greater Austin, TX area.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nParticipate and help lead the design and development of mechanical and process systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping layouts, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.\nPerform advanced calculations, modeling, and simulations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency with minimal supervision.\nPrepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Pipe-Flo), and ensure accuracy and compliance.\nAttend, contribute, and at times lead project meetings, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of project milestones.\nConduct field walks to gather site conditions, monitor construction progress, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure strict adherence to design specifications.\nCollaborate with senior engineers, designers, project managers, and business operations to develop proposals, budgets, and schedules, and assist in client presentations.\nStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Process-Mechanical systems, focusing on innovations in advanced technology sectors.\nHelp support the development of junior-level staff by providing guidance, feedback, and technical expertise.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Process-Mechanical engineering and design, preferably on advanced technology or industrial facilities projects.\nSuccessful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam and/or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification.
