Over 85% of our families live in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today.The Program Manager reports to the Senior Program Director and is based in Brooklyn, NY 11225. The Program Manager is responsible for: Understanding all aspects of contract requirements and communicating this understanding to staff. Training staff in program responsibilities, processes, and procedures, and ensuring that all staff meets contract requirements in their daily work.Participating in the grant writing process and other funding initiatives.Developing and maintaining key community partnerships.Overseeing the development of social marketing campaigns.Working with staff to set realistic weekly and monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements.Coordinating and supervising all day-to-day activities of direct reporting staff. Periodically observing direct reporting staff engaging with clients and/or supervisory staff. Conducting weekly client progress reviews with staff. Conducting periodic internal file review and implementing Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to clients.Providing crisis counseling to clients as needed.Preparing contract reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use.Completing program forms and reports for the agency's finance, payroll, and human resources departments as required.Assisting in the analysis of program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.Organizing onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff. Communicating with peers on issues related to client progress and best program practices.Conducting regular staff meetings.While not on call, will be expected to be reachable after hours and on weekends to assist and consult on client emergencies when needed.Conferring with the Senior Program Director on programmatic and operational matters.Attending and representing the organization at staff, funder, and external agency meetings as required.Reviewing and signing program documentation completed by staff. Reviewing and signing time sheets.Preparing performance appraisals for direct reporting staff. Conducting initial intake or assessment of clients and/or clients' families and periodic reassessments as needed.Prescreening clients over the telephone for eligibility and scheduling intake appointments as needed.Planning, coordinating, and facilitating social/peer support events, including group facilitation for clients as needed.If in the event the program is understaffed, supervisors will take on the responsibilities and duties of the supervisees.Other duties as assigned.Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and three years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.Minimum Experiences and Skills Required: Bilingual English/SpanishRelevant experience as described above, preferably in a mid-sized (250+ employees) organization.Knowledge about, understanding of, and ability to work closely with persons Chronically Homeless, and/or living with HIV/AIDS and related issues.Familiarity with housing in congregate/transitional settingsExcellent written & verbal communication.Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.Compensation:$79,567 annually.
