You will have the opportunity to publish your work at several internationally recognized peer reviewed conferences, journals, and trade magazines. You will also have an opportunity to work with the top customers in the industry on their leading-edge designs.\nThis position requires an independent self-starter who pays attention to detail, has excellent organizational skills, a proven track record of success, can generate new ideas, and can work as part of a team. The main responsibilities for this position are:\nDesign, simulate, program, evaluate and support various leading-edge high performance, cost-effective digitally controlled reference DC-to-DC, AC-to-DC, DC-to-AC converters that exemplify the superior characteristics of eGaN FETs including instructional collateral generation and design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews,\nMaintain and update existing digitally controller designs,\nSupport demonstration board production testing using digital controls,\nUse your talents to lead various challenging in-house and customer-based projects and interact with customers to understand their needs, goals and provide practical suggestions,\nHelp establish new and efficient design procedures,\nWrite and publish world class technical documents, journals and books that explain the excellence of your work.\nExperience:\nDigital control programming using DSPs and similar controllers,\nHigh frequency DC-to-DC, AC-to-DC, DC-to-AC switching converters and topologies, with computing and automotive systems background a plus,\nControl parameter measurement and programing of digital closed loop controls for various converters,\nImplementation of various closed loop digital controller functions,\nExperience in debugging issues and understanding root cause failure,\nExperience with layout (Altium preferred) and PCB design process of digital, analog, and power converter systems,\nPractical bench experience: testing and setting up experiments, data processing and document generation, soldering and rework, modification of boards and, mechanical assembly,\nWritten: Publications, seminar, tutorial, and other educational experience in English is a plus.\nSkills:\nPrograming of digital closed loop controls for various converters with Microchip dsPIC33 experience is highly preferred,\nProficient in the field of power electronics and switching converters, with in depth knowledge of DC-to-DC, AC-to-DC, DC-to-AC switching converters and topologies,\nSolid understanding of digital closed loop control systems,\nUnderstanding of analog circuit design and thermal aspects of converters a plus,\nExperience in design capture and analysis software: schematics, PCB layout (Altium preferred), simulations (e.g. LTSpice) is a plus,\nGood listening, verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.\nRequirements:\nMSE in electrical and electronic engineering with at least 5 years’ experience or Ph.D in electrical and electronic engineering with at least 3 years’ experience,\nWork authorized.\nEPC offers the following benefits:\nMedical with prescription, dental, and vision,\n401k,\nRelocation assistance.\nTo Apply:\nSend resume to careers@epc-co.com.
