This role will contribute to the development of custom software solutions that deliver a competitive advantage to the organization. Teams will have a collection of functional components to create, enhance, and maintain. Team assignment of an accepted candidate will be based on skills, experience, and interests. Examples of teams within the application organization include a product-focused team (catalog, search, product access, etc.) and an order-focused team (carts, checkout, policy enforcement, etc.)\r\nThe Java Developer reports to a Java Development Supervisor who reports to the E-commerce Application Manager.\r\nResponsibilities of the Java Developer include:\r\nSoftware design, development, and collaboration\r\nProject scope may include multiple components of single or adjacent core applications with a high level of complexity, and/or interface work between systems\r\nDesign, code, debug, unit test, document, and support applications (new and legacy), taking direction from team leads (supervisors) and/or principal developer(s), contributing to high-level solution design\r\nCollaborate on technical implementation, assist other developers and consultants in implementation and development\r\nParticipate in frequent review of other developers' technical work (peer code reviews)\r\nContribute to developer mentoring activities\r\nParticipate in occasional after-hours and/or weekend support\r\nInteracting with other internal IT teams as well as external teams and partners on development projects\r\nCommunicating effectively with technical, non-technical, and non-SME folks around complex technical topics\r\nProvide real time support for all eCommerce deployed features\r\nMonitor application observability tools and execute a timely response to alerts generated by those tools and/or escalated feedback\r\nUnderstand individually, and in collaboration with developers and architects, the impact of code deployment(s) to the performance and stability of the existing system(s)\r\nPrepare supporting technical documentation for complex features\r\nPerform release management duties to support eCommerce code deployments\r\nPartner with Technical Product Managers, Application Managers/Architects and Security Leadership to understand business problems and to determine optimal solution approach\r\nOther tasks and responsibilities as assigned\r\nWhat you need to succeed:\r\nProfessional experience of 10+ years in a custom application development environment\r\nSoftware development experience using Java 8 or greater\r\nSoftware development experience using the Spring framework, including the core framework (version 4.0 or higher), Spring Boot (version 2.0 or higher), and various Spring projects\r\nCommunication skills used to speak to the status of projects to a variety of stakeholders\r\nDemonstrated experience in supporting and adhering to software development (engineering, coding, and testing) best practices, and operating in an agile environment\r\nDemonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities\r\nModeling QBP Core Values:\r\nAct with integrity\r\nBe a true partner\r\nCreate something special\r\nDeliver greatness\r\nKeep the customer first\r\nAll candidates are subject to a pre-employment criminal background check.\r\nQuality Bicycle Products is a proud certified B-Corp and an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
