The Assembler I will validate material prior to beginning assembly, review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.\nSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM\nOvertime: Every other Saturday from 5:00 AM-3:00 PM, as business needs require\nPay: $22.60/hour\nJob Summary:\nAssembler I is responsible for performing assembly work to manufacture products in a cost effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The Assembler I will validate material prior to beginning assembly, review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.\nResponsibilities:\nUses work instructions drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment to perform assembly while complying with safe and effective operation standards of all equipment and tools.\nCross trains in multiple assembly areas and flex to other similar departments based on business needs.\nDevelop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.\nContinuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs.\nParticipate in team meetings to exchange job related information.\nResolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.\nProvide basic training to employees on work instructions/standard work as needed.\n\nRequirements:\nAbility to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.\nDetail oriented and organized.\nAbility to effectively communicate in a team environment.\nAccepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.\nAbility to understand and execute basic standard assembly procedures, interpret basic visual diagrams, and use basic hand tools.\nAbility to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.\nAbility to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to act safely while following establish procedures, processes and policies.\nManufacturing or mechanical experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes.\nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
