Drives gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel-hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard, or factory.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nLearn how to drive Bendi forklift.\nHave a valid driver's license and learn how to drive a box truck.\nPull materials from warehouse and provide to production floor in a timely manner.\nKnow how to use a calculator to figure percentages.\nAble to lift 80+lbs on a consistent basis.\nFamiliar with computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office.\nUse weight and piece counting scales.\nAbility to meet timelines and prioritize job tasks.\nReads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.\nLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.\nConveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other device.\nLifts heavy objects by hand or using poser hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators.\nMoves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.\nPositions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.\nUnloads and stacks material by rising and lowering lifting device.\nMay inventory materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.\nMay weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.\nMay lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank, or replace liquefied-gas tank.\nData entry of transactions on computer system.\nPut away all new freight.\nMust be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct threat to the individual or others.\nAssist in cycle counting of inventory as required.\nKnowledge & Skills\nIdeal Candidate Qualifications:\nCount materials quickly and accurately and enter information into handheld computer.\nCommunicate well with coworkers verbally and in writing.\nOperate calculator and know how to use a handheld scanner.\nAble to lift minimum of 80 pounds on a regular basis.\nWork with minimum supervision.\nOperate heavy equipment including forklift, box truck, and genie lift.\nPerform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately and safely.\nGreat attention to detail.\nMastery of basic math.\nRead and write English fluently.\nValid US Driver's License.\nMust be fork lift certified.\nMust have computer skills.\nMust be able to lift.\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n2 or more years of warehouse experience\nExperience with Bendi forklift\nFamiliarity with the following would be a plus:\nHandheld Scanner\nComputer Terminal\nCalculator/10-key Calculator\nCopy Machine\nDigital Camera\nFork lift\nPallet Jack\nAutomatic Pallet Wrapper\nPhysical Demands\nRegularly required to stand\nOccasionally/frequently required to walk\nRegularly use hands to finger, handle or feel\nRegularly reach with hands and arms\nOccasionally/frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl\nFrequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus\nWork Environment\nRegularly required to work in areas where chemical materials are encountered\nRegularly required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment\nMay involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels\nMust customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety\nThis job description is not designed or intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this job.
