As we continue to grow, we only look for the best in the industry.\n\nJob responsibilities:\n\nFacilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from trucks\n\nCheck freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo\n\nIssue appropriate warehouse receipt or collect signed copy of delivery receipt\n\nEnsure that cargo has a proper release issued by office personnel controlling the cargo before cargo is delivered to consignee or agent\n\nOperate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets and pallet jacks\n\nBreak down cargo from import flights, sort as required, check freight against manifest and store in proper manner and location in warehouse\n\nBuild up cargo for export flights, following instructions of supervisor or person directing the buildup of the freight\n\nKeep inventory of on hand freight, warehouse supplies, airline equipment and containers\n\nMaintain security of the cargo and company’s equipment. Observe that cargo has not been tampered with or that pilferage has taken place. Report incidents to supervisor as needed.\n\nMaintain work area in clean condition, reporting damaged or broken equipment as needed\n\nAccept related assignments from lead agents, supervisors or management\n\nComplete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required.\n\nFollow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.\n\nComplete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.\n\nBe on time, be prepared, and be safe. Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\n\nSafety, Security and Compliance:\n\nAll AGI Team members have a responsibility and duty while at work to:\n\nTake reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.\n\nCooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.\n\nNot intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, wellbeing, safety, security or welfare reasons.\n\nInform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.\n\nReport any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.\n\nCarry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.\n\nFully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.\n\nAttend training courses as may be required by AGI.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nThis job requires physical stamina and strength – Material Handlers must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.\n\nMust be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.\n\nMust be able to be alerted to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and airport authorities.\n\nMust be able to work around jet and machinery noises.\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\n\nGood Communication Skills: Material Handlers must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment effectively in a professional manner with the flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew to coordinate the movement and handling of trucks, equipment, and cargo.\n\nBasic math skills: Material Handlers may be required to calculate piece count, weight and dimensions.\n\nComputer skills: Material Handlers may be required to use computer systems to track cargo.\n\nProblem-solving skills: Material Handlers may be called upon to troubleshoot issues during loading and unloading.\n\nTime management skills: Material Handlers must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBe at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.\n\nPossess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.\n\nIf work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
