This role provides technical expertise, oversees engagement execution, develops staff, and works closely with clients, attorneys, and firm leadership to deliver accurate, objective, and supportable analyses. The Manager serves as a key contributor to the Transaction Services team while helping maintain exceptional client service and engagement quality.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nClient Service & Technical Leadership\r\nManage business valuation engagements for a variety of purposes, including transaction advisory, estate and gift tax planning, shareholder disputes, marital dissolution, litigation support, and financial reporting.\r\nServe as a primary client contact throughout engagements and maintain strong working relationships with clients and external advisors.\r\nPerform and review financial statement analysis, normalization adjustments, and valuation methodologies, including income, market, and asset-based approaches.\r\nConduct industry, economic, and company-specific research to support valuation conclusions and engagement analyses.\r\nPrepare and review valuation reports, forensic accounting reports, supporting schedules, and client deliverables in accordance with applicable professional standards.\r\nAssist with forensic accounting analyses, including tracing funds, identifying financial discrepancies, and calculating economic damages.\r\nCommunicate findings and recommendations clearly through written reports, presentations, and client discussions.\r\nEnsure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.\r\nProvide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and technical support to associates, senior associates, and interns.\r\nReview work prepared by team members and provide constructive feedback to support development and quality standards.\r\nAssist with staff training, onboarding, and knowledge sharing within the Transaction Services practice.\r\nContribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.\r\nPractice Support & Business Development\r\nSupport business development efforts by participating in networking opportunities, client relationship activities, and professional organizations.\r\nIdentify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and communicate those opportunities to firm leadership.\r\nAssist in developing internal processes, templates, and best practices that enhance engagement quality and efficiency.\r\nStay current on valuation methodologies, industry developments, and professional standards.\r\nQualifications\r\nEducation and Experience\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.\r\nAccredited valuation credential (ABV, CVA, ASA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to pursue.\r\nFive or more years of experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation support, transaction advisory, or a related field.\r\nExperience managing client engagements and supervising staff preferred.\r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\r\nStrong understanding of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, and forensic accounting principles.\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.\r\nAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.\r\nStrong client service and relationship management skills.\r\nAbility to effectively coach and develop team members.\r\nSuccess Measures\r\nDelivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality client engagements.\r\nStrong client relationships and service excellence.\r\nEffective development and support of team members.\r\nConsistent adherence to professional standards and firm expectations.\r\nDemonstration of M|H core values and commitment to firm culture.\r\nBenefits Include\r\nPaid time off + 9 paid holidays annually\r\n401(k) with employer contributions\r\nCPA Exam Reimbursement\r\nEmployee referral bonus program\r\nCompensation\r\nAt M|H, compensation is designed to reflect an individual's experience, qualifications, and market conditions within their role.
