Working as an ICT Design Engineer, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and managers to develop physical layer solutions, create pathway, space, and cabling designs, and engage suppliers to define product requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEnsure timely delivery of scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications.\n\nReview and approve ICT pathway, cabling and equipment submittals.\n\nIdentify and respond to risks and high‑priority issues rapidly and effectively.\n\nSupport new technology and design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time.\n\nTravel 20%+ to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS data centers.\n\nPropose creative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nExperience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.\n\nExperience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).\n\nExperience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications and submittal documents.\n\n2+ years in ICT design in mission‑critical environments.\n\n5+ years working with fiber optic components, cabling and interconnect products, technologies and standards.\n\nBICSI RCDD certification or equivalent (e.g., CDCDP, DCDC).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nProfessional Engineer license.\n\nExperience with building codes and regulations for your region.\n\nExperience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $116,800.00–$160,000.00 USD annually, depending on location: Columbus, OH; Austin, TX; Herndon, VA; Seattle, WA. Compensation also includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
