We are excited about what San Antonio Aerospace has to offer you as an employee and think that you will enjoy your newfound home!\n\nJOB SUMMARY:\nEntry level mechanic responsible for mechanical maintenance and repair on commercial\naircraft types.\n\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nBasic understanding of aircraft systems\nMechanically inclined\nAssist in open / close activity\nAssist in basic component removal / installations\nAssist in lubrication\nCIC / Lubrication under supervision\nGain a basic understanding of AMMs / IPC\n\nJOB SPECIFICATIONS:\n\nWorking knowledge or ability to acquire skills in the following:\nSafety wiring\nEngine servicing\nEngine CSD servicing\nTire inflation\nA/C wash rack/cleaning procedures\nA/C lube procedures\nPanel removal/install\nHydraulic servicing procedures\nA/C marshalling\nTorque wrench values/operation\nBasic safety procedures\nEngine cowling opening\nAPU servicing\nCargo door operation\nGeneral knowledge of all aircraft manuals and other required materials\nAdditional functions as outlined by OJT sheet\n\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\n\nSUPERVISION: Under the general direction of a supervisor. Normally performs duties after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. There is some opportunity for discretion when making selections among a few, easily identifiable choices. The assignment is usually reviewed upon completion.\n\nINTERPERSONAL RELATION: A moderate level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with co-workers and supervision.\n\nPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in a timely manner. Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours. Must have the capacity to gain knowledge by hearing for one’s own safety due to the dangers involved. The working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 50lbs. and report to work regularly.\n\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nEDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required.\n\nPREFFERED: Six months aircraft maintenance experience.\nA&P license or specialized training.\n\nIt takes diverse talent to solve real-world problems.
