Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\nDevelop, prepare, and update analytical reports, spreadsheets, and databases.\nSupport data-gathering, reviewing, and updating information and documentation in project management systems or systems supporting departmental operations. Support data required for key performance indicators (KPIs).\nPerform detailed budget monitoring and administration tasks for capital projects or departmental operations. Support preparation of budget requests and reports.\nProvide analytical support for developing research, studies, analyses, and presentations related to capital projects, technical issues, or departmental operations.\nHandle confidential and sensitive information about capital projects, departmental personnel, or operations.\nEnsure effective communication and function as a liaison with project teams, departmental management, and other C&D units, as needed.\nAs needed, provide analytical support for various departmental and/or project management processes and reports.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field.\n\nMust have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.\n\nCompetences:\n\nExcellent analytical skills.\nQuantitative aptitude. Ability to synthesize and communicate management issues.\nExperience in analytical roles preferred.\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.\nHighly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on data integrity.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with all levels of management and team members.\nKnowledge of MTA policies, procedures, and processes related to departmental operations and/or capital project/program budget and administration preferred.\nAbility to anticipate and support timely resolution of potential issues.\nFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.\nExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).\nExperience with software applications related to capital project management (such as Asite, PSR, and Visio) preferred.\nOther duties as assigned.\nOther Information\nPursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the “Commission”).\nSelection Criteria\nBased on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.\n\nHow to Apply\nMTA employees must apply via My MTA Portal.
