You create your future and ours.JOB SUMMARYThe FP&A Manager will help drive accountability for financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for Terumo BCT's global functions for Quality, Regulatory and IT. This role serves as the primary finance partner to functional leadership and is responsible for ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and decision support across new product development, sustaining engineering, and innovation investment portfolios.Reporting to the Director, Operations finance, this role leads FP&A activities, manages analyst resources, and plays a key role in enterprise planning cycles, investment governance, and longrange planning within a global, regulated medical device environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIESFinancial Leadership & AccountabilityOwn FP&A accountability for the global functions, including: Operating expense and headcount planningCapital and project investment trackingPortfoliolevel financial performance and ROI visibilityServe as a finance advisor to funtional leadership, enabling informed decisionmaking across innovation and development prioritiesPartner with functional leaders to balance investment, risk, speedtomarket, and cost disciplinePlanning, Forecasting & LongRange StrategyLead financial components of: Monthly and quarterly forecastsAnnual operating plan (AOP)Multiyear longrange planning (LRP)Guide functional leaders through planning assumptions, tradeoffs, and scenario analysisEnsure alignment between functional plans and enterprise financial objectivesReview, challenge, and approve functional financial submissions before consolidation at the corporate levelPortfolio & Investment AnalysisProvide financial leadership across: New product development programsSustaining engineering initiativesPlatform, technology, and process investmentsSupport portfolio governance, investment committee inputs, and postinvestment performance trackingDevelop and maintain models to assess financial impact, capacity utilization, and risk exposure across the pipelineTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Financial AnalystsSet expectations for analytical rigor, business partnership, and executivequality outputsReview and elevate analyses prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and insightAllocate workload and priorities in alignment with corporate FP&A directionReporting, Analytics & Process ExcellenceDeliver clear, actionable functional financial reporting to FP&A leadership and executive stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement in functional FP&A processes, tools, and reporting standardsPartner with Corporate FP&A on standardization, transformation initiatives, and system enhancementsEnsure appropriate use of ERP, planning, and BI tools to increase insight and efficiencyMINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting requiredMBA or other advanced degree preferredExperienceMinimum 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related rolesMinimum 2 years in a people leadership or processownership role preferredDemonstrated experience partnering with R&D or engineering organizations strongly preferredExperience in medical device, life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferredExperience operating in a global, matrixed organizationSkillsExpertlevel financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skillsStrong understanding of R&D cost structures, capitalization concepts, and portfolio economicsProven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexityAdvanced financial modeling and Excel skillsStrong executive communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with SAP or similar ERP platforms preferredExperience with financial planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive, Anaplan, OneStream)Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Demonstrated leadership, judgment, and accountability mindsetPublic AI tool compentencyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis role will be based on site in Lakewood, CO with hybrid flexibilityTypical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
