Positions patients and takes x-rays of specific parts of the patient's body as requested by physician.\r\nProcesses film and checks x-rays for clarity of image and retaking when needed. Maintains x-ray film files in a neat and orderly fashion.\r\nEnsures that reports and/or films are available for the physician in a timely manner.\r\nMaintains required records including patient records, daily logbooks and monthly reports.\r\nPerforms quantity and quality control checks to assure z-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules and company policies.\r\nComplies with safety standards.\r\nMaintains darkroom and x-ray room in a clean and orderly manner.\r\nStocks necessary medical and radiology supplies. Rotates film stock.\r\nVerifies correct charges on charge slip for x-rays, treatments and procedures. Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations and is in good working order and clean.\r\nReports equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\r\nMust be willing to float to other FHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules, etc. make it necessary. [Required]\r\nDemonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
