They have a passion for photography personally and or professionally, they have a sound technical knowledge of power, lighting, computer systems. The Studio Assistant will set-up, break down, maintain, and fix equipment, they will assist the Studio Manager in operational planning regarding studio space, and set types. They will be accountable for studio organization and cleanliness. This position will also assist in functional studio duties such as ordering catering, supplies and ensuring safety and security procedures are followed.\nResponsibilities and essential functions:\nCoordinating with the Studio Manager to set up and maintain the studio.\nStudio general maintenance, cleaning, organization as well as safety and security.\nMaintaining photo & video sets – Painting, cleaning, equipment checks.\nOrganizing, unpacking, and setting up camera and lighting equipment at external locations.\nLight maintenance of equipment and or coordinating repairs.\nCoordinating rental of supplemental photography equipment.\nProven work experience as a Studio Assistant or a similar role in the Media industry.\nFamiliarity with professional cameras and lighting equipment.\nExcellent interpersonal and time management skills.\nMay assist Digitech, Photographer 3 and Studio Manager both on production sets and in studio maintenance.\nQualifications:\nAbility to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nKnowledge and Experience:\nDemonstrated experience as a photographer, videographer or as an assistant in a studio environment.\nComfort and experience in assisting a photographer on a photography set.\nProven knowledge of photography/video studio equipment and its safe operation.\nExperience in utilizing production workflow management tools desired, e.g., Shot Flow.\nBasics in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.\nExperience with Capture One, Canon, PhaseOne, and Profoto lighting, preferred.\nEntry-level skill in Microsoft Office software programs, specifically, Word and Excel (Within Excel, the candidate should be able at a minimum to execute a search, sort a list by applying multiple filter settings, populate a new column of data in an existing spreadsheet, and manage file conversions among CSV and text-based files to Excel.\nExperience in basic computer connectivity, trouble shooting and or physical equipment repair is a plus.\nSkills and abilities:\nAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring seamless execution through stellar organizational and time management skills.\nStrong attention to details with ability to focus on a repetitive task and consistently accurate entry of data.\nSolves non-routine problems in collaboration with his or her manager; takes initiative to modify procedures and processes as appropriate and makes contributions that impact work team results.\nDemonstrated planning skills and the ability to prioritize using information around due dates, clients, internal resource skill sets and when to escalate for assistance and awareness.\nAbility to work both independently and within a changing team.\nAbility to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules.\nIs respectful and courteous when interacting with others, a calm and collaborative demeanor is expected when working through conflict.\nMust have proficient basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.\nMust be able to lift heavy objects across the studio within 40 to 50 pounds.\nCulture/ EEO Statement\nStraub Collaborative embraces diversity in a profound way and believes in the power of a shared table to bring people together as we are committed to building a culturally inclusive team.
