We hope you’ll join us.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAligning individual and team objectives to department and company objectives.\nManaging and supporting employee development and growth.\nProviding regular and direct feedback on performance and goal progress.\nSets up initial layout and site infrastructure services to include water, power, internet and office trailers and required facilities.\nSchedules and ensures appropriate staffing for daily construction activities with employees and sub-contractors.\nSupports the PM and APM for required management coverage.\nCreates and implements daily work plans.\nEnsures construction disciplines are coordinating daily functions to minimize schedule delays.\nIdentifies potential employee relations issues.\nIdentifies potential schedule changes, workflow and staffing issues.\nShut down a construction site when conditions warrant it, such as weather or safety.\nPerforms site investigation for potential construction sites.\nRecommends and evaluates sub-contractors for use on project.\nDaily monitoring of the construction site to oversee work in progress.\nActs as the primary on-site leader and manages execution teams, including all subcontractors, on assigned projects.\nEvaluates the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and / or scheduling changes.\nManages and develops a viable long-term relationship with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors. Attends job safety, plan of the day, quality, security and progress meetings as required.\nEnsures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAdvanced level of knowledge in:\nCommunication to include listening skills\nRelationship building\nAdaptability to environment\nDecision making\nConstruction knowledge\nCivil and electrical knowledge\nSafety\nManage in a stressful environment\nIntermediate level knowledge in:\nFundamentals of contract requirements\nChange orders\nUnderstanding Scheduling concepts and exceptions\nBasic level of knowledge in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)\nUnderstanding environmental concepts (BMP’s and SWPPP)\nInterpreting state rules and regulations\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nOversee the production of multiple job sites. Ensure the safety of each employee; vendor; sub-contractor and temporary labor employees. Coordinate schedules with the construction department; engineering department and purchasing department.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:\nHigh School diploma.\n10+ years of direct construction management experience in utility work or heavy construction projects.\nOSHA 10 and/or 30 certification preferred.\nMust have a valid current driver license.\nAble to travel based on assigned projects, up to 95%.\nManagement experience with solar projects desired.\nPhysical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and in the field.
