Integrates embedded I/O and Linux drivers for lab and HIL testing, leveraging emulators for early hardware abstraction and reproducibility.\r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\nRequired\r\nThis position has been posted at multiple levels (must meet minimum level indicated). Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.\r\nThis position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information.\r\nMust have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering or computer science .\r\nMust have a 2+ years of recent and related work experience.\r\nHands-on with cFS/cFE services, SB topic design, and app configuration; familiarity with OSAL/PSP portability and RTOS primitives (tasks, queues, semaphores, ISRs).\r\nCapable of reading schematics and collaborating with hardware teams; practical experience with Ethernet/TCP IP and device interfaces (SPI, USB).\r\nDesired\r\nPrior work delivering demo first prototypes with clear success metrics (bounded latency, dropout resilience, intelligibility proxies), packaged for internal reviews and stakeholder trials.\r\nExperience building CI friendly test harnesses, coverage, and automated result packaging for timing regressions and performance dashboards.\r\nComfort presenting results in technical forums and closing feedback loops quickly; experience with formal configuration and issue tracking in flight adjacent programs.\r\nWork Location\r\nThis is a hybrid position that offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off; some travel may be required.\r\nSchedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/ or customer needs.\r\nBackground Investigations Required\r\nAll Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check and some positions require clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.\r\nDrug and Alcohol Screening Required\r\nAll Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.\r\nStandard Bastion Requirements\r\nMust have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.\r\nAll of Bastion's employees must be team players with strong work ethics and must be culture oriented.\r\nAble to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.\r\nAble to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.\r\nMust be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.\r\nGenerally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.\r\nWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
