Backed by top-tier investors and led by engineers from Google and Stripe, this team is pioneering a new stack designed to support real-time, production-scale AI software development.They’re now hiring an Infrastructure Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale a modern infra stack purpose-built for AI workloads. You’ll work across low-level container technologies, microVMs, and orchestration layers to shape the backbone of a novel AI software platform.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain core infrastructure systems: MicroVMs, container runtimes, build pipelines, and orchestration layersWork closely with product engineers to integrate infrastructure with AI agent toolingOptimize infra performance, reliability, and cost across multi-cloud environmentsBuild internal tooling and automation using modern infra-as-code frameworksImplement observability, alerting, and monitoring systems to ensure uptime and system healthStay on the edge of infrastructure innovation: Firecracker, Kata Containers, OverlayBD, etc.What We’re Looking For4+ years of experience building and scaling infrastructure systemsStrong background in containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS/GCP)Experience with tools like ContainerD, Firecracker, Pulumi, Terraform, or similarFamiliarity with backend languages such as Go, Rust, Python, or JavaComfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and contributing across the stackMust be located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco (in-office 4 days/week)No visa sponsorship available at this timeCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $165,000 – $225,000Competitive equity packageHybrid work setup (4 days/week in downtown SF)High-impact role at an early-stage startup shaping the future of AI software engineering infrastructureAbout The CompanyThis 12-person startup, founded in 2024, is reimagining how software agents interact with computing environments—from running code to browsing the web like humans.
