This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our enterprise shipping software solutions across both our SaaS and embedded SAP product lines. The DevOps Lead will guide a growing team, set standards for CI/CD, cloud cost management, observability, and automation, and partner closely with engineering, security, and solution delivery teams to enable smooth deployments and resilient production systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership & Strategy\nDefine and execute the DevOps vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.\nLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing DevOps team.\nPartner with engineering, product, and delivery teams to align priorities and ensure operational excellence.\nInfrastructure & Automation\nOwn the design, deployment, and scaling of cloud infrastructure (AWS/OCI).\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure releases.\nChampion Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) practices.\nReliability & Observability\nEstablish SRE best practices to drive uptime, system resilience, and performance.\nImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).\nDrive incident management processes and root-cause analysis to reduce MTTR.\nSecurity & Compliance\nPartner with Security to ensure DevSecOps practices are integrated into the SDLC.\nSupport SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, and other compliance initiatives through secure infrastructure practices.\nEnforce least-privilege access, patching, and vulnerability remediation.\nCost & Performance Optimization\nManage cloud cost efficiency while maintaining system performance.\nSet up chargeback/showback reporting (e.g., cost per transaction, per environment).\nRegularly review and optimize resource usage across environments.\nQualifications\n5-10 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related field.\n3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.\nExpertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred).\nStrong background in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).\nProficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.).\nExperience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).\nFamiliarity with enterprise systems integration (SAP, ERP, WMS, or similar) preferred.\nExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across departments.\n\nShipERP is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
