This role is suited for an engineer who thrives in a complex enterprise environment and is comfortable working across diverse technologies and architectures. You will build and scale consumer-facing and B2B web applications, owning the web platform across front-end experiences, back-end services, APIs, and data integrations for high-demand, global use cases.\nAs the technical lead, you will own systems end-to-end, combining hands-on development with architectural oversight and team leadership. You will drive technical direction, align engineering efforts with business goals, and guide a team in delivering scalable, high-quality web experiences.\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\nOwn the web application platform end-to-end, with a focus on front-end architecture, performance, and user experience\nLead the design and evolution of modern front-end systems and frameworks, alongside supporting back-end services and APIs\nDefine and drive platform standards for UI architecture, component design, accessibility, performance, and scalability\nDesign and deliver scalable consumer-facing and B2B web applications supporting high-demand, global use cases\nBalance hands-on development with planning, technical leadership, and team oversight\nAlign technical execution with business and product objectives\nGuide technical direction, front-end best practices, and overall engineering standards\nAct as the technical lead for a team of engineers, driving delivery and continuous improvement\nOptimize applications for performance, reliability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers\nCollaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences\n\nWhat to bring:\n7+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership\nStrong expertise in modern web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript\nDeep experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js and modern front-end architecture patterns\nExperience building scalable, maintainable front-end platforms and design systems\nProficiency in C# and .NET Core, with experience building APIs to support front-end applications\nStrong understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design\nProven experience leading engineers, setting front-end standards, and driving technical direction\nStrong communication skills and ability to align with cross-functional stakeholders\nBS in Computer Science or related field\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with AWS and infrastructure as code\nExperience building large-scale, high-performance transactional platforms\nStrong experience building Single Page Applications\nExperience with open-source technologies such as Node.js\nExperience building reusable UI components, design systems, and micro frontends\nExperience developing mobile-first and responsive user interfaces\n\nAt AXS, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but can't \"check every box\" in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
