You will be expected to understand not just Shopify theme development, but the full platform — including APIs, Shopify Plus features, custom app development, integrations, and performance optimization — to build scalable and tailored e-commerce solutions.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of e-commerce innovation—solving real-world technical challenges, improving conversion, and creating a seamless user experience for customers worldwide.\nResponsibilities\nLeverage deep, hands-on experience with the Shopify ecosystem to build, customize, and optimize storefronts and backend integrations.\nDevelop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript\nBuild and maintain custom Shopify apps (public/private) using Shopify's API and modern frameworks\nIntegrate and configure advanced Shopify apps like Rebuy, Boost, Klaviyo\nCollaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to implement dynamic UI/UX features, personalization, and A/B testing\nDevelop and maintain API integrations with third-party services and internal tools\nOptimize performance across desktop and mobile, with a strong focus on site speed, SEO, and Lighthouse scores\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex Shopify issues with speed and precision\nMaintain high standards in code quality, testing, and documentation\nWe Offer You:\nFull benefits package; medical, dental, vision\n401k plan\nCompetitive PTO accrual as well as additional wellness days\nHybrid work schedule\nWork environment that harbors a culture of collaboration and community\nLearning and development opportunities\nYou Bring (requirements, preferred skills):\n3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience with a proven portfolio of launched and optimized stores\nDeep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, limitations, and best practices\nAdvanced knowledge of:\nShopify theme development using Liquid\nJavaScript, HTML, CSS\nExperience with Shopify Plus features, including multi-currency, multi-language (i18n)\nIntegration experience with leading Shopify apps like:\nRebuy, Boost Product Filter & Search, Klaviyo\nFamiliarity with at least one modern JS framework (React, Vue, or Angular)\nComfortable working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including Shopify Admin, Storefront, and Checkout APIs\nUnderstanding of eCommerce metrics, analytics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies\nGrowth mindset, self-starter attitude, and strong debugging/problem-solving skills\nBachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field\nNice to Have (Bonus Skills)\nExperience building custom Shopify apps using Node.js or Remix\nStrong grasp of technical SEO and eCommerce performance optimization\nFamiliarity with authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) and SSO providers (e.g., Auth0)\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms like AWS, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD workflows\nExperience with backend technologies like .NET, or Java\nYou will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:\nOccasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc. as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time\nRequired to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds\nAny additional physical requirements\nThe Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.\nWork Environment/Location/Flex Arrangement:\nSVP Worldwide offers a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
