Join our company and be part of an innovative team that’s First in Food.Location DescriptionOur plant, located in Lansing, IL, pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for a more safe product to the foodservice industry.ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY:This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. Ensures regulatory Compliance.This position is responsible for loading and unloading pasteurizing tanks with product.Job ResponsibilitiesKeep area around machines being loaded clean and neat.Haul out racks and stack, tie, and pick up all material neatly in proper amounts and heights.Remove all eggs stuck to flats.Remove empty flats from the flat stacker.Dispose of inedible buckets from machines being loaded after the end of shift clean up.Before going to break, clean up entire work area.Follow all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and safety proceduresFollow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) “washing hands, etc.” throughout the day.Adhere to all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelinesResponsible for spray down and cleanup equipment and floor to meet USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) specificationsAccountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.Adhere to quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATION:No prior experience or training.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.Other Skills And AbilitiesAbility to stand on hard surface most of shift.Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs.Ability to work in damp, humid atmosphere.Ability to stoop and bend.Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating scheduleAbility to climb and move above, below and into tight spaces#firstinpeopleThe pay range for this position is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
