Leak Detection Technician/Plumbing Specialist

American Leak Detection is looking for a highly motivated and career-minded person to join our team as a Field Technician. This is a fast-paced position and we are looking for someone who is searching for long-term employment. Great candidates will be mechanically inclined, comfortable with learning and using new technology and capable of working both inside and outside in all weather conditions. This position requires intermittent and often heavy physical labor. We provide paid training, all the tools needed to perform your job duties and a company vehicle for business use.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform leak detection work on underground piping systems, sewer systems, gas systems and pool and spa systems using electronic equipment, inert gases and plugs to detect leaksInspect and survey systems for the cause and origin of concealed leaksCreate professionally written reports to effectively describe the leak issueRegularly communicate with office staff, management, colleagues and customersComplete, maintain and process paperwork and collect payment for servicesOperate a service vehicle and maintain proper parts and equipment stock levelsPerform repair work on plumbing systemsProvide professional, courteous customer serviceQualificationsMechanical and labor backgroundExperience using power toolsMust be able to swim, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, have good hearing and occasionally go into tight placesMust possess a valid California driver's license with an insurable driving recordMust be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screeningExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalNeat, professional appearancePreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with leak detection, plumbing, irrigation and/or experience in plumbing slab/sewer workPool experience (pool systems, pumps, skimmers, cleaning, plumbing lines or pool equipment)Employee BenefitsPaid trainingPaid vacationPaid holidaysPaid sick timeBonuses and overtime are availableHealth insuranceHeadquarters: Thousand Oaks, CA (Technician must reside within or near Simi Valley, the Conejo Valley or San Fernando Valley)Service Location: West San Fernando Valley, West Los Angeles County, Santa Clarita ValleyJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Training salary starts at $18 - $20 per hour.
