Nearly 30% of patients in the U.S. skip preventive or chronic care simply because they can't get to a doctor's office. For many, the ER becomes their first touchpoint with the healthcare system - driving over $300B in avoidable costs every year.\r\nBy using the same technologies that power leading marketplace and last-mile platforms, we deliver care where people are, especially those who need it most. So far, we've supported more than 2 million patients across 22 states, completed 130,000+ in-home visits, and maintained a 92 NPS . Our team of clinicians, technologists, and operators have raised over $125M to date investors like a16z, General Catalyst, GV, and Accel and enjoy multi-year runway.\r\nAbout the Role\r\nWe're looking for a Senior Backend or Full-Stack Software Engineer (5+ years experience) who wants to build the core systems that power last-mile healthcare delivery. At Sprinter, you'll work on products that blend logistics, patient experience, safety, and medical operations - building and scaling backend services, data flows, integrations, and in-product experiences that directly determine whether patients get care. From routing clinicians and powering booking flows to integrating medical devices and preventing clinical errors, you'll own complex, high-impact systems from 0-1. If you want to solve real problems with code and ship product that changes access to care, this is that role.\r\nHybrid & Office Experience\r\nWe operate on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-anywhere days.\r\nWe care deeply about work-life balance and are happy to provide flexibility when life happens. We ask that employees be in the office Monday through Thursday to collaborate with their teams while maintaining flexibility where it matters most.\r\nLunch is provided every day, and the entire team takes an hour to eat together. It's one of the ways we stay connected outside of meetings. You'll usually find us playing a board game before getting back to work.\r\nWhat you will do\r\nDesign and build backend services and APIs that power patient booking, clinician routing, logistics, and device integrations\r\nShip full-stack product features end to end, from data modeling and business logic to UI and user flows (if full-stack)\r\nSolve complex operational challenges like scheduling, dispatch, safety checks, and error prevention at scale\r\nIntegrate with external health systems, telemedicine platforms, and medical devices in a reliable, secure way\r\nWork closely with product, data, ops, and clinical teams to turn real-world problems into shipped software\r\nOwn projects from 0-1, make architectural decisions, and help evolve our engineering practices as we scale\r\nWhat you have done\r\nSpent 8+ years building and scaling backend or full-stack systems in production\r\nExperience mentoring engineers and overseeing large scale projects\r\nDesigned APIs, data models, and services that power real user-facing products\r\nLed projects or pods end to end — from architecture and planning to delivery and iteration\r\nMentored junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance element, the content must be accurately placed, ensuring no stray tags exist –the final string was edited to remove any mismatched or unnecessary formatting tags and to replace special unicode symbols with standard ASCII equivalents.\r\nWhat gives you an edge\r\nYou've built or scaled products in health tech, logistics, or other operationally complex environments\r\nYou understand supply/demand dynamics — forecasting, routing, scheduling, or inventory management\r\nYou've scaled backend systems to support rapid growth, high-volume data, and evolving business needs\r\nYou've worked in mid- or growth-stage startups (Series A-C) where speed and ambiguity were the norm\r\nYou're comfortable working with data platforms, pipelines, or large-scale data processing\r\nYou know your way around regulated environments — HIPAA, security, and privacy best practices\r\nThe Interview Process\r\nWe aim to complete the interview process between 2-3 weeks.
