This engineer will also be in charge of maintaining and ensuring compliance on systems both in the Arlington IDT Office as well as at various customer sites. A successful candidate should also be willing to create/update existing processes using automation in order to accomplish their tasking.\n\nClearance & Location Requirements:\n\nAll applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.\n\nThis is an on-site position. Requiring at least 5 days in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nWhat You Will Do:\n\nRack and Install various server/networking devices within standard server racks as well as pelican-based enclosures.\n\nPerform server updates, patch management, and software installations.\n\nOperate and maintain servers both virtual and physical in nature running a variety of Operating Systems to include Red Hat, Windows, and VMWare products.\n\nInstall and provision newly purchased pieces of hardware equipment.\n\nImplement, maintain, and review security processes to maintain compliance and ensure user permissions are accordingly.\n\nHelp develop and maintain various golden images in support of business area activities to include operating system images and virtual machines.\n\nCreating and maintaining detailed documentation of systems and networks for usage by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nWho You Are (Required):\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent full-time professional experience.\n\n1+ years of full-time professional experience in systems administration or system engineering discipline.\n\nAbility to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.\n\nExperience working in a VMWare Environment or similar virtualization platform.\n\nExperience troubleshooting network issues of various degrees of complexity.\n\nExperience with Bash, C, and/or Python scripting.\n\nUnderstanding of common TCP/IP concepts including TCP, UDP, VLANs, DHCP, and routing at a minimum.\n\nExperience provisioning and installing both physical devices as well as virtual machines.\n\nSecurity+, CCNA, or equivalent IAT Level II certification.\n\nExperience with hardening devices and updating DISA STIG Checklists.\n\nExperience with patching and remediating vulnerabilities in a closed network.\n\nWhat Makes You Stand Out:\n\nStrong understanding of Red Hat or similar Linux distributions.\n\nExperience working with networking within a tactical system.\n\nExperience with Cisco Switching including Virtual Port Channeling, VLANs, VRFs, etc.\n\nExperience with configuring multiple forms of authentication including PKI concepts.\n\nExperience identifying hardware and/or software for purchase to meet various use-cases.\n\nExperience with Ruckus-based Network Devices is a plus.\n\nExperience with VMWare NSX-T is a plus.\n\nExperience with Ansible, PowerShell, Chef, Salt, Puppet, or other configuration automation software.\n\nIf you see yourself reflected in this role and are excited about the impact you could make, we encourage you to apply!
