research, development, and operational systems used in aerospace innovation.\nPosition Overview\nThe selected candidate will support a wide range of activities involving electronics fabrication, system integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of both fixed-base and motion-based flight simulators and associated subsystems.\nYou will work closely with engineers, developers, and technicians to ensure simulator systems operate reliably and meet mission requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform assembly, integration, testing, and repair of electronic systems and subsystems used in flight simulators\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across electrical, data acquisition (DAQ), video, audio, and control systems\nSupport modification and upgrade efforts for existing simulator platforms and associated hardware\nFabricate and maintain cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and electronic enclosures\nInterpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings\nAssist with panel layout, system packaging, labeling, and hardware configuration\nGenerate or update technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), wiring lists, and assembly instructions\nSupport installation, checkout, and validation of simulator hardware and subsystems\nCollaborate with engineering teams on new system development and integration efforts\nEnsure adherence to quality standards, workmanship requirements, and safety protocols\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience as an electronics technician or in a similar role\nStrong experience in electronics assembly, troubleshooting, and repair\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build documentation\nProficiency with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)\nExperience building and troubleshooting cables, harnesses, and electronic assemblies\nStrong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship\nAbility to work both independently and within a team environment\nEffective communication and documentation skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nElectronics Technician Workmanship Certification (or equivalent training/experience)\nExperience with flight simulators (fixed-base and/or motion-base systems)\nFamiliarity with simulator subsystems (visual systems, audio, control loading, DAQ, networking)\nJ-STD or similar certification for high-reliability soldering and assembly\nExperience with CAD tools for electrical and/or mechanical design\nKnowledge of system integration, hardware debugging, and root cause analysis\nExperience supporting R&D or laboratory environments\nUnderstanding of continuous improvement processes and configuration control\nEEOE
