In addition to being a hands-on developer with experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, and data products, the ideal candidate will have strong command of the principles of large-scale database development, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and documentation preparation. The lead must have firsthand technical expertise in a variety of big data technologies to develop robust scalable data platforms and solutions that can manage large datasets.\r\nKey Responsibilities Research, design, develop and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or application software.\r\nResolve complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.\r\nConduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity.\r\nResearch emerging technologies to determine impact on application execution.\r\nResolve various tasks as prioritized by the team product owner.\r\nEngage in the complete software development lifecycle, operating within well-defined parameters.\r\nTake ownership of delivering enhancements within a system or application.\r\nBreak down sizable tasks into manageable units for execution and provide LOE estimations.\r\nCollaborate with fellow software engineers to create and document optimal technical designs.\r\nBuild software solutions where the solution is not clearly defined but always prioritizing customer needs.\r\nResolve obstacles for the development team, working collaboratively with the Product Owner, technical leadership, and other engineers.\r\nAdvise hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.\r\nPrepare reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.\r\nProvide guidance and work leadership to less experienced software engineers.\r\nRequired Skills 5+ years of professional software development experience.\r\nJava Development experience.\r\nAngular Front-End.\r\nDesired Skills Python Development experience.\r\nLeading Path is an award-winning Information Technology and Management Consulting firm focused on providing solutions in process, technology, and operations to our government and Fortune 500 clients.
