Lead Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Details:Lead Electrical Controls EngineerGrowing industrial automation and engineering organization is seeking an experienced controls professional to support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of industrial control systems within discrete manufacturing environments. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute automation projects, improve process performance, support system reliability, and assist with troubleshooting and commissioning activities. Initial project work will be performed onsite at a manufacturing facility in Western North Carolina.Key Responsibilities: Implement and support industrial automation and process control solutions. Configure and maintain PLC, HMI, SCADA, motion control, and drive systems. Support PLC upgrades, system startups, and new equipment installations. Assist with process optimization, troubleshooting, loop tuning, and reliability improvements. Provide technical support, documentation, and training for control systems. Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to meet project goals.Preferred Experience: Rockwell ControlLogix PLC systems iFIX SCADA platforms PowerFlex, Yaskawa, and servo drive systems Motion control and industrial automation applicationsQualifications: 5+ years of hands-on industrial automation and controls experience. Strong troubleshooting and system integration background. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
