As one part of the greater Air Force Information Network (AFIN) enterprise, the 66 ABG Communications and Information Division (66 ABG/SC) has responsibilities in two categories (1) direct actions in support of Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) and geographically separated units (GSUs); and (2) indirect actions to support the AFIN enterprise. Successful solutions for this requirement are expected to have strengths in four areas: integration, flexibility, AFIN knowledge, and technical expertise.\nJob Responsibilities:\nEnsure all personnel receiving COMSEC material are enrolled in the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP) as required.\nEstablish controls so that only properly cleared personnel with a legitimate need are permitted access to COMSEC material.\nIssue COMSEC material only to appropriately cleared and authorized individuals whose duties require it; advise them of their responsibility for properly safeguarding and controlling the COMSEC material in their possession.\nEstablish a comprehensive user-training program for all COMSEC Responsible Officers (CROs) and Secure Voice Responsible Officers (SVROs) and their alternates. Document initial and refresher training. Ensure CROs and SVROs conduct user training for all personnel having access to COMSEC material.\nEnsure users write COMSEC Standard Operating Procedures and coordinate on it with the COMSEC manager.\nPerform a semiannual assessment/audit of both the account and all user accounts. Keep written documentation.\nProvide CROs with applicable status information for the key they are issued.\nProcess electronic messages received via KMI and take necessary actions to correct any discrepancies.\nProvide users guidance on shipping COMSEC-accountable equipment.\nDistribute keying material to user organizations when needed.\nAssist users in obtaining COMSEC-accountable Cryptographic Controlled Item (CCI) equipment in support of program/mission requirements.\nEnsure the COMSEC account maintains minimum on-hand requirements and holds only COMSEC material that is mission essential.\nMaintain COMSEC account files and prepares and submits accounting reports to the AF COR as required.\nMaintain hand receipt records of all COMSEC material issued to users.\nEnsure realistic Emergency Action Plans (EAP) exist at all user locations.\nReceive/send packages via Defense Courier Service (DCS) and ensure all material received reconciles with material listed on the transfer report- Provides AFLCMC SCI Info Assurance Tech Support & System Administration\nImplement a comprehensive training program within the COMSEC account. Document the training.\nAssist supported controlling authorities when conducting crypto-systems management revalidations and surveys.\n\nJob Requirements:\nCertification in Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) operations and equipment\nFamiliar with directives concerning COMSEC material and ensure all COMSEC material issued to or held by the account is safeguarded and controlled according to the requirements of applicable Air Force, NSA, and associated specialized COMSEC publications and operational security doctrine for the associated COMSEC equipment or system.\nStrong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Information Assurance Directives and Instructions\nCandidate must meet the full criteria under DoD Directive 8570.01 Information Assurance Management\nCompTIA Sec+ Certification needed.\nStrong customer skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nTop Secret level DoD security clearance – required.\nAssociate’s degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent with 3+ years of experience relevant to the above responsibilities/skills.
