These steps of service will act as a guide and reference point for your valued position as a bartender at the Range Café.\n\nPrimary Objective of Position: Responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers. Create a friendly and memorable experience for guests by providing excellent guest hospitality. Always maintain a friendly and cheerful manner to all guests. Increase sales by promoting special drinks and special events.\n\nJob Duties:\n\nMix ingredients such as liquor, soda etc. to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to established recipes.\nServe wine, draft beer and food to bar guests in a professional manner.\nTake beverage orders from serving staff.\nCollect payments (credit cards or cash) for items served following company’s established accounting procedures for all transactions.\nBalance register at the end of each shift.\nObserve guests and respond to their needs to ensure positive hospitality experience.\nRespond calmly to angry guests and inform manager immediately.\nCheck identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.\nGuide guests in selecting food and beverage items.\nPromote cocktail hours, special events, etc. to increase sales.\nFollow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests.\nFollow alcohol awareness procedures for handling intoxicated guests.\nPrepares drink according to company recipes and standards, verify correct pricing.\nPossess proficient knowledge of liquor quality and preparation of an extensive variety of different drinks.\nMaintain professional knowledge on new and revised beverage recipes.\nAssist servers in bar knowledge (proper glassware, correct garnish, etc.).\nClean and sanitize workplace according to company procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.\nArrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.\nRestock bar par levels following company procedures and completing requisitions in a timely manner.\nStore bar items according to established company procedures.\nKeep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.\nPerforms all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.\nMaintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees and vendors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.\nAlways provide a favorable image of the company to promote its aims and objectives, and to foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.\nDress neatly and well-groomed in company approved uniform at all times.\n\nQualifications & Skills:\n\n2 years’ experience in a high-volume operation is preferred\nAbility to pass bar validation\nExtensive knowledge of drink recipes and in preparation of cocktails\nAbility to operate Point of Sale system to perform all necessary transactions, knowledge of Aloha POS system beneficial\nCapable of communicating effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests to respond clearly to customer requests\nAbility to read menus to sight-impaired guests\nAbility to hear well amongst loud background noise\nAbility to lift and carry very heavy cases several times per shift\nStands during entire shift\nFrequent immersion of hands in hot water\nFrequent bending and stooping\n\nWorking at Range Café is more than just a job.\nIt's a lifestyle!\nWe pride ourselves on our ability to provide exceptional hospitality.
